Getting Ready to Push the Reset Button

These are highly charged and sensitive times that we are all going through these days. For some of us this is a time of much sadness and grief for the loss of loved ones. For others it’s a time of consolidation and reorganization and yet for others it is a very exciting time filled with new opportunity. For all of us, this is a time of big change, uncertainty, concern, fear and confusion about what will come next. Change is unsettling at the best of times. Having recently retired from a career of 34 years I am personally making my way through big changes as I attempt to create my “new normal.”

These times are calling us to be awake to and aware of the changes in our lives so that we can be forces for positive change. It doesn’t matter what stage we’re at in life. It matters that we wake up to our life and remember that our life is on an ever evolving path that longs to fully realize itself and manifest in the world.

During this time of tragedy in our province and the many crises occurring in our world affecting healthcare, climate, nature and so on, we all have a sense of what the “right” thing to do is. This is a time for change, a time for action to embrace the change we’ve always wanted to make, as the saying goes: “be the change you want to see in the world.”Wherever we are in our lives, now is a good time to decide to wake up and be the change we’ve been waiting for. Begin where you are now. Start with a few questions:

  • Who are you now?
  • Who do you want to be?
  • What do you need to do & must do to begin the shift to become the person you’d love to be?
  • What will it look like for you?

Happy changing!
