Welcome to
The Karma Barn
A relaxed community yoga studio.
A bit about the barn
The Karma Barn (KB) is a welcoming community yoga studio built using re-purposed wood from an old barn which sat on the property for the last 150 years. The space is warm and cozy, inspiring peace and calm. The yoga is light and gentle focusing on breath, poses and meditation.
The Karma Barn began with the idea to create a peaceful and calming yoga space where people could come to practice, explore and develop their personal power and discover what true prosperity means for them. All of this while giving back to their community. The Karma Barn was born!
The Karma Barn model takes the idea of karma to a new level. Operating from the belief that we all have special gifts to offer and that sometimes dealing with money can be a distraction, ALL classes are karma. In other words, instead of paying for yoga, it is suggested that people who attend “pay forward” their yoga with either gifts of time, kindness, services or money donations into the community. People choose how, when, and where to “pay forward” their yoga. Thus, the intention is that each person will come to class with an open heart, a lighter mind and a greater sense of freedom. At this time there is one exception to this practice – on our “12 Days of Christmas Yoga” fundraiser for the St. Margaret’s Bay Food Bank held each December.
